Alphas was an interesting show in season 1. It had a great cast of characters and some interesting stories. I was curious whether or not it could keep up the quality in season 2. So, let’s check out the season premiere of season 2 and see what’s going on.

Three Inches – A Failed Pilot Review
With little to no promotion and pretty much no information about it, Syfy threw up a pilot for the show Three Inches. The show was originally ordered in early 2010, but it seemed to languish in development hell for awhile. Then, when Syfy moved forward with Alphas, they decided to see if they could make Three Inches seem more different. That failed and the show was shut down. But in the dead of winter, in the dead time between Christmas and New Years, Syfy decided to throw the pilot on. I happened to run across it on the channel guide and decided it was worth a watch. And it’s probably good it didn’t move forward. Read on to see why.
Alphas season 1 review
Now that season 1 of Alphas is finally done, let’s take a look back at the premiere season and see what was good and what was not so good. Overall I’m happy because it was a decent show AND it was renewed. But I think there is still a lot of room to improve. So, what happened on the show and what does the future look like? Syfy renews Alphas
In a move that will be greeted with great acclaim due to the number of science fiction shows that they’ve canceled this year, the Syfy network ordered a second season of Alphas:

It’s been 6 episodes into season one of Alphas and let’s go and see how it’s doing. Overall, it’s promising and it appears that the ratings have stabilized (so hopefully it will make it to season two). Let’s go over what has worked and what hasn’t so far.
